b'Greetings from the Artistic Director Its our 13th festivalour bar mitzvah year. They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, it takes a community to create and sustain a festival like this.Jewish Music Week was born in 2011 (if youre doing the math, we lost two years of festivals because of Covid). At the time, our wonderful team thought that we were bringing a one-time festival to Toronto. Just one week and that would be that. Little did we know that Jewish Music Week wouldbecomeapermanentfixtureonTorontoswonderfulcultural landscape. We have loved watching the festival grow. We have shepped naches from introducing so many new musical artists to Canadian audiences and have marveled at the phenomenal homegrown talent we have right here in Toronto. We have celebrated with the thousands of music lovers who have joined us every year. We have danced with you in the aisles. We have tapped our toes, stomped our feet, clapped in time, and sung along. We have laughed and cried as the music comforted us through war, sickness, and prayers for hostages, soldiers, and peace. We have been as moved from your overwhelmingly positive response as from the music itself. We have taken pride in being part of this incredible arts-loving city. Thanks to those who have been with us since the beginning and to those who have joined us along the way. A million thanks to our growing team, our sponsors and donors, our enthusiastic audiences, and to our stellar volunteers. Thank you for helping us reach this bar mitzvah year. Lets keep doing this together! Mazal tov!Aliza Spiro Artistic Director7'
